Mancherial: Six students of a private school sustained injuries when the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling overturned at Subbaraopalli village in Chennur mandal on Tuesday.
Sources said the students, who belonged to a school in Chennur town, received minor injuries after the three-wheeler turned turtle at a curve near the village. They were on their way to school from Narayanpur at the time of the mishap.
The vehicle was allegedly being driven by a minor boy. Rash and negligent driving is suspected to have led to the accident.
Angry parents demanded stern action against the school management for deploying a minor driver and endangering the students’ safety.
Police said no complaint had been lodged in connection with the incident until Tuesday afternoon.
