Six women allegedly steal 10-tola gold chain from jewellery shop in Tandur
Six women allegedly stole a gold chain weighing around 10 tolas from a jewellery shop in Tandur, Vikarabad district. Police said three women distracted sales personnel while another took the chain. CCTV footage is being examined to trace the suspects.

HYDERABAD: A group of six women allegedly diverted the attention of sales personnel at a jewellery shop in Tandur in Vikarabad district and stole a gold chain weighing around 10 tolas on Friday, police said.
According to police, four of the six women were wearing burqas. While three of the women kept the sales personnel busy by engaging them in conversation, another woman allegedly used the opportunity to steal the gold chain. The group later escaped from the shop.
The theft came to light in the evening during an audit of the jewellery stock, when the management noticed that a gold chain was missing. On checking the CCTV footage, they found the women allegedly stealing the chain.
On receiving information, Tandur police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Police are examining the CCTV footage to identify and trace the suspects. A case is registered.
