Six-year-old boy electrocuted in Adilabad

A six‑year‑old boy in Adilabad district was electrocuted after touching an air‑cooler that had become live due to faulty wiring. The child, asleep at the time, died instantly.

Adilabad: A six-year old boy was electrocuted when he touched an air-cooler through which electricity was passing at Suryanagar under Sakera village in Sonala mandal on Saturday evening.

Police said that Ade Dheeraj, a resident from Suryanagar hamlet died on the spot after coming into contact with the air-cooler which had become electrified due to faulty wiring. He was asleep at the time of the tragic incident. Officials confirmed the cooler’s defective wiring led to the fatal electrocution.

His father Arjun lodged a complaint with police. A case has been registered. Investigations have been taken up.
