Skill Development Centre to be set up in Karimnagar: Sridhar Babu

A separate course for Vishwakarmas would be introduced in the proposed Skill Development University to be established in the State very soon, said Minister D Sridhar Babu

Karimnagar: IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said a Skill Development Centre would be set up in Karimnagar district headquarters.

Participating in a Vishwakarma Yagna Mahotsavam organised by the BC Welfare department here on Tuesday, Sridhar said a separate course for Vishwakarmas would be introduced in the proposed Skill Development University to be established in the State very soon.

The course would help the community to enhance their skills, he said, adding that the State government was committed to encourage caste artisans.

Efforts were on to find methods to provide more income sources to caste artisans and to improve employment by encouraging industries.

Sridhar Babu also instructed the Collector to identify a place for the construction of a Vishwakarma Bhavan in Karimnagar.
