SLBC Tunnel Collapse: Governor calls Nagarkurnool Collector, enquires about rescue efforts

The Governor was briefed on the efforts to ensure the safe return of people trapped inside the tunnel

HYDERABAD: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma spoke to the District Collector of Nagarkurnool over telephone and enquired about the ongoing rescue operations in the SLBC tunnel collapse incident.

He was briefed on the efforts to ensure the safe return of the people trapped in the tunnel collapse mishap. The District Collector provided information on the rescue operations and said that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and the Army, along with experts, were actively engaged at the site.

Jishnu Dev Varma directed the authorities to make all-out efforts to ensure the safe return of those trapped in the tunnel. He also emphasised the need to expedite the rescue operations and instructed officials to keep him regularly informed of the developments.
