Smoke triggers fresh panic at fire-ravaged Ameerpet building

Fresh panic erupted in Ameerpet on Saturday after smoke was seen rising from a building damaged in Thursday's major fire. Firefighters quickly responded and doused the smoke. Officials suspect leftover combustible material reignited due to residual heat inside the structure.

Hyderabad: Panic broke out on Ameerpet Road on Saturday afternoon after smoke started emanating from the building that was devastated in a fire mishap on Thursday.

According to reports, a few local individuals noticed plumes of smoke emanating from the building and informed the local fire department. A fire tender reached the spot and sprinkled water in the building and put out the fire.

The fire officials suspect that some material left in the building might have reignited due to the heat. On Thursday, property worth crores of rupees was gutted when a fire broke out in the building due to a suspected short circuit.
