Hyderabad: The West Zone Task Force nabbed a Somalian national on charges of illegally staying in India, even after the expiry of his passport and visa.

He was deported to his country, over strong suspicion that he was in contact with the drug suppliers in Hyderabad, police said.

The arrested person was Abdullah Ahmed Aweis alias Jordan (27), from Upparpally in Rajendranagar and a native of Mogadishu City, Somalia.

Police said Jordan came to India on a student visa in 2017, and even after it expired in 2020, he continued to stay illegally.

It was also learned that he had contacts with drug suppliers in the city. He was arrested and handed over to the FRRO, Hyderabad for deportation.
