Sonia Gandhi wants youngsters to lead Congress party: Revanth Reddy
“I consider TPCC president's post as an opportunity to serve the poor and fight for their cause,” the young leader said
Hyderabad: Newly appointed TPCC president A Revanth Reddy said on Tuesday that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed him to the post since she was keen on young leaders leading the party in the State. She convinced senior leaders in the party on this aspect, he said.
“I consider TPCC president’s post as an opportunity to serve the poor and fight for their cause” Revanth Reddy said, adding that Congress delivered Telangana State with a dream of ensuring welfare and development of the State “but the TRS government had failed on all fronts.”
“In the past, all issues used to be addressed at Grama Sabhas but things have gone from bad to worse now. Local bodies’ representatives are finding it difficult to clear the bills of different works executed under their limits,” he alleged.
Mulugu MLA Seethakka met Revanth Reddy here after conducting special puja at Medaram Sammakka Saralamma temple and leading a rally from the temple. She said the party high command had offered TPCC post to Revanth Reddy after taking the feedback from leaders and workers of the State unit.
