Hyderabad: Sonu Nigam who was recently in Ujjain for a personal visit gave a newlywed couple the biggest wedding gift they could’ve wished for. Sonu not only visited the event but also spent time interacting with the bride and groom and their families. It was a complete surprise for the families and a gesture that made their special occasion all the more memorable.
As it turned out, the hotel Sonu was residing in Ujjain had a wedding in the banquet hall, elaborates a source, “Sonu was visiting the Mahakal and the Kalbhairav temples in the city. There was a wedding taking place in the hotel and Sonu took the guests by surprise and walked up to congratulate the couple. It was a completely impulsive and heartfelt gesture from Sonu’s end.”
The source further adds that the emotional ‘bidaai’ ceremony soon turned into an impromptu celebration. “The bride’s ‘bidaai’ ceremony which is an emotional and integral part of any wedding soon turned into one of smiles, laughter, joy, and camaraderie when Sonu surprised the couple and the families. The girl had a big smile on her face and it was an overwhelming experience for everyone. It was a small gesture from his end but he gave the couple memories for a lifetime. Celebrities and performers are often seen attending celebrations and events for a fee but when an artiste does it only out of goodness he touches the hearts,” the source added.
