Rajanna-Sircilla: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who has been extending support to a number of needy people during the pandemic, once again showcased his helpful nature by promising to extend financial support for the surgery of a four-month-old boy suffering from a heart ailment.

The actor promised to bear expenditure to the tune of Rs 5.5 lakh as against Rs 7 lakh required for the surgery. Parents of the child were asked to take the boy to Innova hospital for treatment in Hyderabad.

Residents of Jaggaraopalli of Boinpalli mandal, Pandipalli Babu and Rajitha have a four month-old son Adhwith Shourya. The boy was diagnosed with a congenital heart problem.

When the couple took the boy to a private hospital in Hyderabad, authorities told them that a surgery could cost around Rs 7 lakh. Working as a courier boy in a private courier company in Sircilla town, Babu was shocked as it is next to impossible for him to raise such money. Unable to pool in such a hue amount, Babu posted the condition of his son on social media and some of his friends tweeted the matter.

Moved by the miserable condition of the child, Sonu Sood promised to bear operation expenditure and tweeted the same. Representatives of the actor contacted Babu over the phone from Mumbai and promised to arrange Rs 5.5 lakh.

Though the actor is ready to pay Rs 5.5 lakh, it has become a tough task for the poor parents to arrange the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh. Speaking to Telangana Today, Babu said that hospital authorities had asked him to bring the child to hospital for a pre-surgery check-up. They have managed to pool Rs 40,000 and they require another Rs 1.10 lakh to go for the surgery. Babu appealed philanthropists to save the life of his child by extending support.

Babu can be contacted on 8096424621.

It’s an urgent surgery.

Surgery is confirmed for tomorrow @InnovaHeart Hospital. Dr. Kona Samba Murthy @konasambamurthy will take good care. All The Best & wishing the kid a speedy recovery. @IlaajIndia https://t.co/LWYHXROaFt
