Hyderabad: Upset over financial problems, a soon-to-be bridegroom died, allegedly by suicide, at his house Rajendranagar late on Sunday.
The victim, Avinash Kharge (26), a native of Karnataka, was a software employee staying with his parents and siblings at Shivrampally. Police said.
Avinash had borrowed personal loans of nearly Rs 15 lakh from various banks and found it difficult to repay since the last few months. The banks had been mounting pressure on him to repay the loans at the earliest, pushing him into depression.
Recently, his wedding was fixed by elders, which was scheduled to take place on December 26. While arrangements were being made on one side, Avinash was upset over financial constraints, police said, adding that he was found hanging in his room. The Rajendranagar police are investigating.
