Soumit Panda’s century powers RBI to big win in D-Division league

Soumit Panda’s unbeaten 103 powered Reserve Bank of India to a convincing victory over National Insurance in the D-Division Institution One-Day League Cricket Championship in Hyderabad, while Air India, Vidyuth Soudha, ECIL, IICT Staff Club and Midhani also registered wins.

Hyderabad: Soumit Panda cracked a match-winning century (103 no, 55b, 10×4, 4×6) for Reserve Bank of India against National Insurance in the D-Division Institution one-day league cricket championship here.

The scores- D-Division Institution one-day league championship: RBI 272/7 in 25 overs (Amol Malhari Raut 48, Soumit Panda 103 no, Prashanth 70, P. Vijay Kumar 3/45) bt National Insurance 90 in 22.2 overs (Amol Malhari Raut 3/8).


Air India 210/9 in 25 overs (Upendra Yoghesh 40, Anil L Jeph 49, E Raghupathi 4/51) bt GHMC 101 in 15.4 overs (M. Rajesh 4/23, B. Radhakrishna 3/9).

BHEL 125/7 in 20 overs lost to Vidyuth Soudha 126/7 in 19.2 overs (D Abhilash 48 no).

OMC 129 in 25.2 overs (B Shiva Karthik 30, B Venkatesh 3/15) lost to ECIL 130/2 in 13.4 overs (T. Nookaraju 54, Hemraj Yadav 55 no).

LIC 147 in 20.3 overs (V Avinash Rao 74, Naresh Goud 4/35, B. Kariyanna 3/23) lost to IICT Staff Club 149/7 in 19.1 overs (V Srinivas Karthik 35, S. Satyam Naidu 32 no).

Midhani 156 in 20 overs (M. Paramesh 38, D. Ramesh 3/35, V. Ananth Reddy 3/14) bt TGCAB 113 in 18.3 overs (K. Ramakrishna 35, D. Kailas 3/27, J.Arvind 3/19).
