South Central Railway announces special trains for Sankranti festival 2026
South Central Railway has announced eight additional special trains for the Sankranti festival. Trains will run between Kakinada, Vikarabad, Nanded, and Machilipatnam, stopping at major stations like Vijayawada, Secunderabad, and Rajahmundry. Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance.

Hyderabad: In view of extra rush on account of ensuing Sankranti festival season, South Central Railway has announced eight additional special trains to various destinations.
Accordingly, Train No. 07450 Kakinada Town – Vikarabad will depart at 4.45 pm on January 19 and arrive at 7 am the next day, while Train No. 07451 Vikarabad – Kakinada Town will depart at 9 am on January 20 and arrive at 9.15 pm.
Train No.07452 Nanded – Kakinada Town will depart at 1.30 pm on January 12 and arrive the next day at 9 am, while Train No.07453 Kakinada Town – Nanded will depart at 1 pm on January 13 and arrive at 7 am the next day.
Train No. 07454 Machilipatnam – Vikarabad will depart at 10 am on January 11 and 18 and arrive at 8 pm, while Train No.07455 Vikarabad – Machilipatnam will depart at 10 pm on January 11 and 18 and arrive at 8.15 am the next day.
The Kakinada Town – Vikarabad – Kakinada Town Specials will stop at Samalkot, Anaparthi, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Charlapalli, Secunderabad and Lingampalli stations in both directions.
The Nanded – Kakinada Town – Nanded Specials will stop at Mudkhed, Dharmabad, Basar, Nizamabad, Kamareddi, Medchal, Bolarum, Charlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Tanuku, Rajahmundry and Samalkot stations in both directions.
The Machilipatnam – Vikarabad – Machilipatnam Specials will stop at Gudivada, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal, Kazipet, Charlapalli, Secunderabad and Lingampalli stations in both directions.
