AICC general secretary K C Venugopal has urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to operate additional special trains to Kerala during Onam, saying existing services are inadequate. He sought trains from major cities amid heavy bookings and travel difficulties for passengers

South Central Railway will operate special trains between Charlapalli and Kottayam to meet the additional passenger rush during Onam. The services will run on selected dates in August, with stops at several major stations and multiple coach classes for passengers.

The South Central Railway will operate special trains between Kacheguda and Tiruchanur on July 23 and 24 to clear the passenger rush. The trains will stop at several stations, including Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Guntur, Nellore and Renigunta, in both directions.

The Railways has announced special train services between Bilaspur and Yelahanka to manage the summer travel rush. Five services will operate in each direction between June and July, with stops at major stations including Secunderabad, Kazipet, and Guntakal.

Railways will run weekly special trains between Coimbatore and Jaipur from April to June to manage summer rush. The trains will halt at several stations, including Kacheguda in Hyderabad, and will be equipped with 3AC coaches.

South Central Railway will run special trains between Hyderabad and LTT Mumbai during the Christmas and New Year rush. Trains 07458 and 07459 will operate on December 28-29, stopping at major stations and offering AC, sleeper, and general coaches

South Central Railway has announced eight additional special trains for the Sankranti festival. Trains will run between Kakinada, Vikarabad, Nanded, and Machilipatnam, stopping at major stations like Vijayawada, Secunderabad, and Rajahmundry. Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance.

Accordingly, the Secunderabad – Kakinada Town (07041) train will run on June 12, 19, 26 and July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Similarly, Kakinada Town – Secunderabad (07042) train will run on June 13, 20 and 27, July 4, 11, 18 and 25 and August 1.

Accordingly, Kacheguda – Madurai (07191) train has been extended between June 9 and July 28, Madurai – Kacheguda (07192) extended between June 11 and July 30, Kacheguda – Nagercoil (07435) extended between June 12 and July 11.

Accordingly, Charlapalli – Visakhapatnam (07441) service will run on May 17 and Visakhapatnam – Charlapalli (07442) service will run on May 18

These special trains will consist of 1AC, 2AC,3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class coaches, SCR officials said in a press release.
