Nirmal: Soy farmers demanded the government to take steps to prevent delay in procuring soybeans. They staged a rasta-roko on Nirmal-Bhainsa highway at Kallur village in Kuntala mandal on Tuesday.
Farmers from several villages gathered at the highway and blocked the traffic as part of their protest against the delay in purchasing the soybeans. They said that they were facing inconvenience due to the wait in procuring the grains. They wanted the government to take steps to speed up the process.
