Rajanna-Sircilla: Collector Anurag Jayanthi instructed officials to speed up the paddy procurement process in the district. The Collector conducted a review meeting with officials to discuss the paddy procurement process at his chamber in the Collectorate complex here on Wednesday.
The Collector said that out of 265 purchasing centers, 248 centers were already inaugurated. 16,904 metric tons of paddy was procured from 2,519 farmers. The 14,449 metric tons crop has already been shifted to rice mills.
Instructing officials to start remaining PPCs immediately, he wanted to provide all facilities including gunny bags, weighing machines, moisture checking instruments, tarpaulins and others. PCC centers organizers should update farmers’ details online on a daily basis. Arrange adequate vehicles to transport paddy to rice mills. Every rice miller must import paddy and enter an agreement with the civil supplies district manager.
In-charge DRO T Srinivasa Rao, Vemulawada RDO V Leela, DSO S Jitender Reddy, Civil Supplies Manager D Harikrishna, District Transport Officer Y Kondal Rao, DRDA K Koutilya and others participated in the meeting.
