Speeding tipper kills pregnant doctor in Telangana’s Warangal
A 33-year-old woman doctor in an advanced stage of pregnancy died after a speeding tipper rammed the motorcycle she was riding with her husband in Warangal. Police have booked a case and taken the driver into custody

Warangal: A woman doctor in an advanced stage of pregnancy was killed in a road accident on Hunter Road in Warangal city on Monday night.
Dr S Mamatha Rani (33) of Bhaktampalli in Chincholi taluk of Gulbarga district in Karnataka was working as assistant professor in general medicine wing at Father Colombo Institute of Medical Sciences in Warangal.
When she was returning home along with her husband Dr Raghavendra on a motorbike, a speeding tipper hit the bike from behind throwing the couple on to the ground. Dr Mamatha Rani, in her ninth month of pregnancy, suffered severe bleeding.
She died on Tuesday while being treated at a private hospital in the city. Based on a complaint by Dr Raghavendra, Mattewada police booked a case and took the tipper driver Ansari of Jharkhand into custody.
