Hyderabad: Raising concerns over misuse of the university’s logo and spreading fake information via circulars, the Students Protection Forum (SPF) on Wednesday urged the JNTU-Hyderabad administration to initiate action against those behind it.
In a representation to JNTU-Hyderabad Prof K Venkateswara Rao, SPF representatives, including J Dileep and Rahul, said certain individuals or organisations were misusing the university’s logo and spreading false information via fake circulars in the name of the Registrar and the varsity.
Students pointed out that such activities not only mislead students and stakeholders but also damage the university’s credibility and reputation.
The SPF wanted the university to file a police complaint against the individuals or group involved in creating and spreading fake circulars. It also wanted the varsity to issue a clarification to students and people to be cautious about such fake communications.
