Hyderabad: SM Hussain cracked a century (101, 141b, 12×4) for Team Red and VVS Sarvajith (85) for Team Red against Team Blue on the first day of the HCA Cooch Behar Trophy probables match here on Wednesday.

In another match, Rahul Karthikeya (five for 16) bowled well for Team Yellow.


The scores: 1st day: Team Green 119 in 37.2 overs (MS Anirudh 47, Rahul Karthikeya 5/16, V. Akash 3/35) vs Team Yellow 150/6 in (M. Jashwanth 47, Urvesh Kakkad 3/31).

Team Red 312/9 in 90 overs (VVS Sarvajith 85, SM Hussain 101, B. Ahwinan Ram 42, Thanmai Krishna 3/49, Dev Mehta 3/52) vs Team Blue.

Big win for Hyderabad against Haryana 

Hyderabad recorded a 107-run win against Haryana in the Col.C.K. Nayudu Trophy (under-23) cricket championship third round match in Sultanpur (Haryana) on Wednesday.
For Haryana, Rohan Deshawn’s century (100, 164b, 13×4, 1×6) was in vain.
The scores: At Sultanpur: Hyderabad 307 in 96.4 overs & 235 in 66.5 overs bt Haryana 226 in 84.2 overs & 209 in 65.3 overs (Rohan Deshwal 100, N. Nitin Sai Yadav 3/56).

Narrow win for Team D in Under-19 BCCI Challenger Trophy

Team D scored a 14-run win against Team C in the BCCI Challengers Trophy (under-19) one-day tournament at Gymkhana Ground here on Wednesday.

The scores: 1st round: At NFC: Team A 219 in 46.5 overs (Lakshya Raichandani 84 no, D. Deepesh 4/48, Nama Devendra 3/33) lost to Team B 222/4 in 39 overs (Sagar Virk 43, Vedant Trivedi 66 no, Harvansh Singh 71 no).

At Gymkhana Ground: Team D 229/9 in 50 overs (Maulya Raj Sinh 63, Alankrit Rapole 64, Henil Patel 4/40, Rohit Kumar Das 4/54) bt Team C 215 in 46.5 overs (Aaron George 37, Yuvraj Gohil 44, Kanishk Chauhan 70, Udhav Mohan 3/50, Amahida 3/42).

Mahesh CC beats Southend Raymonda in HCA league

Mahesh CC recorded a six-wicket win against Southend Raymonds in the HCA C-Division one-day league cricket championship here on Wednesday.
The scores: Southend Raymonds 128 in 28 overs (Pramukh Jain 46) lost to Mahesh 129/4 in 12.5 overs (Jasti Ranadheer 52, ASS Shekar 43).

Deccan Dynamos FC scored a 2-0 win against Deccan Sporting FC in the B-Division Shiv Kumar Lal football league championship at Gymkhana Ground here on Wednesday.

Dearth and Govind scored a goal each in the 11th and 47th minutes.

Ex-footballer Chandrashekar passes away

Former national footballer T Chandrashekar passed away here on Wednesday. He was 80 and survived by three sons and a daughter.

Chandrasekhar represented the then united Andhra Pradesh in 1970 and also captained Osmania University.

The two teams taking part in the ongoing B-Division league at Gymkhana Ground observed two minutes of silence as a mark of respect to him.

Telangana Football Association expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.
