Sports briefs: Two Telangana players in Indian hockey camp

Hyderabad: Telangana Hockey secretary CR Bheem Singh informed on Tuesday that two state players, Harsh Kumar Goumte and K Veena, based on their performances in the recent Sub-junior Nationals in Ranchi, have been selected for Indian camp, which is going to be held at SAI Centre in Bhopal from April 19. The Indian team will be selected for the Under-18 Junior Asia Cup men and women to be held in Japan from May 29 to June 6 after the camp.

Bolarum Sporting FC wins

Bolarum Sporting FC scored a 2-1 win against Social Sporting FC in the TFA C-Division football league championship at Gymkhana Ground here on Tuesday.
Rayaz scored the first goal in the 16th minute and Shivam the second one in the 22nd minute for the winner, while Samad reduced the margin for the losers in the 31st minute.

On Wednesday, Susai FC will take on Secunderabad Blues at the same venue at 3.30 pm.
