For those who have a knack for gardening, several small roadside shops are now offering colourful ceramic pots in different shapes and sizes. Affordable and fancy, these pots will surely make your home look more stylish.
These artistic and unique flower pots will greatly highlight the beautiful charm of the flower plants. “Earlier, we used to sell the cement pots. But many people have started enquiring about ceramics and showing more interest in buying the ceramic pots,” shares Md Israr, who runs a store at Bowenpally.
“We have been able to attract many customers, who like the animal-shaped pots. In fact, the one shaped like an owl are the fastest to go — we have them available in several sizes and colours. Another design that customers prefer is the polka-dotted pots. They are more simple and look good anywhere,” he says. Also popular with many are the hanging pots that promise to add a dash of innovation and aesthetics.
These shops offer buyers the option of choosing between a wide range of ceramic pots, and if you are pro at bargaining, this might just be the place for you.
“We are open for bargaining – however we also have margin. Also, most of the designs are available in various sizes, the smaller the size the less expensive the piece. So, if you like a certain design, there will definitely be a piece that will fit your budget,” says a seller. Ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 9000, these fancy pots will not burn a hole in your pockets.
Ankit Singh, who owns a ceramic store near Hasmathpet, shares that several of his clients have to pre-order the pots, so that they aren’t unavailable when they come to buy them.
“It’s not just people who want the pots for their home but many of our customers also take the pots for their office or even residential colonies. A few times a customer came to buy a certain piece which is not available. So, we have asked customers to pre-book the order. That way we can ensure that the pots are available for the customer,” he says.
