Sreenidi Deccan FC sign Bhaskar Roy, Abhash Thapa and Rashid CK for new season
Sreenidi Deccan FC have strengthened their squad with the signings of goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy, left-back Abhash Thapa, and midfielder Rashid CK. The trio brings experience and youthful energy as the club prepares for the upcoming football season under Fabio Ferreira’s guidance
Hyderabad: Sreenidi Deccan FC have acquired goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy, left-back Abhash Thapa, and midfielder Rashid CK to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
Experienced goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy began his professional career with the Services team and made his I-League debut with Minerva Punjab FC, where he spent three years and won the league in the 2017-18 season. He subsequently joined Rajasthan United FC for the I-League 2021-22 season. After a season with Rajasthan United, he moved to Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC for two seasons and later featured for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the 2024-25 ISL season. The former I-League Golden Glove winner also won the ISL League Winners Shield in 2022-23 and the ISL Trophy the following year with Mumbai City FC.
Abhash Thapa joins the Deccan Warriors after spending the I-League 2024-25 season with Rajasthan United FC, where he played 22 matches and scored two goals. The left-back began his professional career with Real Kashmir FC in the 2018-19 season before joining East Bengal FC the following year. He subsequently returned to the Snow Leopards for two seasons before moving to Mohammedan SC, where he won the I-League 2023-24.
Meanwhile, young midfielder Rashid CK joins Sreenidi Deccan FC after spending the previous season with Chanmari FC, where he helped the team secure promotion to the I-League. During his stint with Chanmari FC, he made 13 appearances and scored a goal in their promotion campaign.
