Hyderabad: Sreenidi Deccan FC will take on Gokulam Kerala FC in their final away game of the I-League in Kozhikode on Sunday.

The Deccan Warriors played out a 1-1 draw against title contenders Churchill Brothers FC in their last league fixture, whereas Gokulam Kerala FC secured a 2-1 victory away to Sporting Club Bengaluru.

Assistant coach Ishant Singh, who is currently in charge of the Deccan Warriors, said they didn’t have the best results in the first phase of the league, but had done better in the second phase after rectifying the mistakes.

“Gokulam have always been a tough opponent for us, and we have prepared well for tomorrow’s match to secure three points from our final away game,” he said.

Goalkeeper Ubaid C K, on the other hand, said they were aware that Gokulam were a formidable side, especially on their home turf.

“The team has prepared well for tomorrow’s match, and we have to be at our absolute best to take home three points from our final away game of the season,” he said.

In the reverse fixture, the Malabarians went on to secure a 2-3 win against the Deccan Warriors at the Deccan Arena.
