Hyderabad: The sacred festival of Sri Narasimha Jayanthi was celebrated with devotion and grandeur at Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON Banjara Hills (Hare Krishna Movement – Hyderabad) on Thursday.
Thousands of devotees participated in the auspicious celebrations and received the blessings of Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
The highlights of the celebrations included special darshan of the Swayambhu deity, Vishesha Alankara of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, a unique opportunity for devotees to participate in Jhulan Seva throughout the day, Maha Abhishekam to the Swayambhu Mulavar deity in the early morning, Sri Narasimha Homa, Kalyanotsavam of Their Lordships and a grand 108 Kalasha Maha Abhishekam to the Utsavar deity in the evening.
A special pravachan was delivered by Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON Banjara Hills (Hare Krishna Movement – Hyderabad), who explained the divine significance of Lord Narasimha’s appearance and His eternal protection of devotees.
ABHAYAM, a special guided chanting session along with Sri Narasimha Homa, was also organised on this auspicious occasion for devotees.
