Women devotees, priests and temple EO L Rama Devi take part in pounding of turmeric, mixing of ‘talambralu’

Kothagudem: Rituals related to Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams of Bhadrachalam Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam to be celebrated from March 30 to April 12 commenced on Friday.

Rituals like ‘Dolotsavam’ and ‘Vasantotsavam’ (Holi celebration) took place at the temple. A large number of women, priests and the temple EO L Rama Devi took part in pounding of turmeric and mixing of ‘talambralu’ earlier. It was planned to distribute 3.50 quintals of ‘talambralu’ to devotees free of cost, the EO said.


The sale of sector tickets online for Seetharama Kalyanam which would be celebrated on April 6 and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam to be performed on April 7 started on March 12 on the temple’s website: https://bhadradritemple.telangana.gov.in.

Those who bought online tickets have to obtain original tickets by producing their original identity cards at the temple’s Tanisha Kalyana Mandapam office at 11 am between March 20 and April 6 by 6 am.

For Kalyanotsavam tickets worth Rs 7, 500 (Vubhayadatalu), Rs 2,500, Rs 2,000, Rs 1,000, Rs 300 and Rs 150; for Pattabhishekam Rs 1,500, Rs 500 and Rs 100 tickets are available, the EO said.

Sector tickets would be sold directly from March 20 onwards at the temple’s main ticket counter, Tanisha Kalyana Mandapam, central reception office-bridge point and RDO office (from April 1 onwards) at Bhadrachalam, the EO said.
