Srichethan, Manya emerge champions in second Sudhakar Memorial badminton
Both win in the under-15 boys and girls finals, respectively
Hyderabad: Srichethan Shourya defeated Shaurya Tej 15-9, 15-6, and Manya Agarwal (GBA) shocked third-seeded Kunalika (SSBA) 15-6, 15-9 in the under-15 boys and girls finals, respectively, of the second Vemuri Sudhakar Memorial Telangana sub-junior open badminton tournament, presented by Hundred & TTR Institute of Medical Sciences, at Jwala Gutta Academy of Excellence here.
Manya completed a ‘double’ winning girls under-17 singles title, defeating G. Stuthi 11-15, 17-15, 15-9 in the final.
Dr Shri Ram Mohan Reddy, Parigi MLA, World championship medallist Jwala Gutta and Dronacharya S.M. Arif gave away the prizes.
