Srikanth Yalamanchili named Beach National Commission chairman
Srikanth Yalamanchili of the Andhra Kabaddi Association has been appointed Chairman of the Beach National Commission by AKFI, recognising his role in organising the national beach kabaddi championship and promoting the sport at the national level.

Hyderabad: The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently at Vadodara, held in conjunction with the Senior National Kabaddi Championship for men.
During the meeting, AKFI constituted various sub-committees across multiple categories, ensuring representation from state associations and institutional units across the country.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of kabaddi, Srikanth Yalamanchili, General Secretary of the Andhra Kabaddi Association (AKA), has been nominated as the Chairman, Beach National Commission in India.
This prestigious appointment is said to be in appreciation of his exemplary efforts in successfully organising the Senior National Beach Kabaddi Championship held at Manginapudi Beach, Machilipatnam last year.
The event received widespread acclaim from the Sports Authority, government officials, ministers, and the general public.
Notably, the Andhra Pradesh men’s team emerged as champions in the championship.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Andhra Kabaddi Association and highlights its growing prominence at the national level.
On this occasion, Mr Ram Prasad Reddy, Minister for Sports & Transport, Govt of AP, Mr Kollu Ravindra, Minister for Mines & Excise, Govt of AP, Mr K V Prabhavathi, President, AKA, Mr Arjuna Rao Nakkala, former international kabaddi player and working president, and K V Nancharaiah, joint secretary, were among those who congratulated Srikanth.
