Hyderabad: Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud on Tuesday released a short film on ‘Somasila’ as a tourist spot made by the documentary director D Satyanarayana, at his camp office here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the rulers in undivided Andhra Pradesh neglected the development of many tourist spots in the State. After formation of Telangana, the State government was striving for the development of tourism on all fronts.
The tourism department has already started a series of initiatives to highlight the tourist places in the State and attract tourists to these areas. As part of these initiatives, Satyanarayana has made the short film, the Minister said, listing out various tourist places including KCR Eco Urban Park, Pillamarri and Manyam Konda Venkateswara Swamy temple among other popular areas in Mahbubnagar district.
