Hyderabad: The stage is set for Asia’s largest life-sciences and healthcare forum BioAsia. The two day event, which is being held virtually this year, will have discussions on healthcare and technology.

Corporates across the life-sciences industry have shown support for the event. It is hosted by Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Novartis and co-hosted by Aurobindo Pharma, Hetero and Laurus Labs. It is also supported by corporates like Sai Life Sciences, GVK Bio Sciences, Bharat Biotech, Cytiva, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Virchow Biotech, US Pharmacopeia, MN Park, Bharat Serums and Vaccines, K. Raheja and Biological E.


With the theme of ‘Move the Needle’, BioAsia 2021 is expected to have a participation of about 30,000 life sciences professionals from around the world. The panels will focus on the Covid-19 pandemic and how it has led to various changes in the life sciences industry across the globe. It will offer insights sessions on India’s current and future potential in immunising the world and key actions taken actions to become the future global innovative vaccines provider.

The two-day forum will feature global leaders like Satya Nadella (CEO, Microsoft), Dr Soumya Swaminathan (Chief Scientific Officer, World Health Organization), Dr Peter Marks (Director, CBER, FDA), Dr VK Paul (Member, NITI Aayog), Dr Richard Hatchet (CEO, CEPI), Dr Trevor Mundel (President, Global Health, Gates Foundation) and more, a release said.

Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana Industries Principal Secretary said, “Over the years, the partnership between the Government and industries has only grown in Telangana and this has transformed into many success stories in the life sciences sector in the State.”

Shakthi Nagappan, CEO of BioAsia and Director of Telangana Life Sciences, said, “With the support we have been receiving for the forum, we are able to expand the platform and gain higher participation on a global scale.”
