Hyderabad: There is one more attraction on Tank Bund now. The most popular hangout spot in the city now has one designated selfie spot, perhaps the first of its kind.
While people most go for selfies at usual spots like the Luv Hyd installation or other scenic spots, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has now installed a standing bench exclusively to take selfies.
The HMDA, which had recently installed rainproof benches for people to sit, set up the selfie spot aiming to help tourists and others from the city to frame their memories of the city.
Urban Development Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar tweeted about the new amenity, saying that it had already become a centre of attraction.
“Standing bench to enable take selfies installed at #Tankbund by @HMDA_Gov today It’s been few hours & already become a centre of selfie attraction !,” he tweeted.
