STAR Hospitals has launched the STAR Centre for Brain Health at its Banjara Hills and Nanakramguda facilities in Hyderabad. Hyderabad: STAR Hospitals, Hyderabad, on Tuesday launched the STAR Centre for Brain Health, a dedicated Centre of Excellence that brings together neuroscience teams and offers round-the-clock emergency care under one roof at its Banjara Hills and Nanakramguda facilities, a press release said.
The Centre for Brain Health will provide timely, accurate and compassionate care for patients with neurological conditions, ranging from life-threatening emergencies such as stroke and traumatic brain injury to epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, memory disorders and complex brain tumours.
The brain health facility will be led by a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons and interventional radiologists, who will work together to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based brain and spine care.
The Centre also offers specialised outpatient clinics that focus on the early identification of neurological disorders and prevention of complications. These include the Stroke and Cerebrovascular Clinic, Comprehensive Epilepsy Clinic, Movement Disorders & Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Clinic, and Memory & Cognitive Health Clinic.
