State govt accords top priority to health sector: Jagitial MLA
Jagitial MLA M Sanjay Kumar thanked CM KCR for providing good equipment at the dialysis centres across the State and urged him to increase the number of dialysis machines
Hyderabad: The State government is according top priority to the health sector especially in rural areas and helping poor people who are suffering from serious ailments in getting proper treatment, said TRS Jagitial MLA M Sanjay Kumar in the State Assembly here.
Kidney patients, who have to undergo dialysis, used to face problems due to non-availability of dialysis centres in districts and they had to go to the city to avail the facility. But after the formation of Telangana, the problems of kidney patients were resolved with each district headquarters having dialysis facility.
He thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for providing good equipment at the dialysis centres across the State and urged him to increase the machines that are used for conducting dialysis to patients.
Earlier, several patients used to face financial constraints in purchasing costly medicines after undergoing organ transplantation. But after the State government started giving free medicines, patients were now feeling comfortable.
The transplantation of kidney, liver and heart has also gone up due to Aarogyasri scheme, he said appreciating the government for improving amenities in the government hospitals.
