Telangana In a first, the government of Telangana launched the pilot of Telangana Health Profile project aimed at preparing a digital data bank of the health ailments of the people. The pilot of the prestigious project will be implemented in Mulugu and Rajanna Sircilla district over the next 40 days. Health Minister T Harish Rao launched the pilot in Mulugu district. Under the first phase of the pilot in Mulugu district, the district health authorities have formed 30 teams under the limits of 15 Primary Health Centres to go door to door to collect details pertaining to the health of all individuals and compile the data.
New Delhi
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) needs to prepare a roadmap for the next 25 years when the Indian economy will grow to five trillion dollars, and more manufacturing units will be set up in all sectors. Speaking at the 53rd Raising Day of the Force here, he said the journey of economic growth was not impossible without the contribution of the CISF. He also said that the private security agencies have been growing at a fast pace and the CISF needs to take the responsibility to train them in a professional manner. “CISF alone cannot provide security to all industrial sectors, therefore, the private agencies should also be trained in a professional manner”, the Home Minister said.
West Bengal
Veteran BJP leader Tathagatha Roy took a jibe at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying that Banerjee is having ‘Prime Ministerial illusions’ which is why she is ‘interfering in international issues’. “West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is having Prime Ministerial illusions that’s why she is interfering in an international issue which is none of her business,” said BJP leader Tathagatha Roy. Mamata Banerjee blamed the Centre for delaying the evacuation of Indian students from war-torn Ukraine. He said, Mamata Banerjee was shown black flags in Varanasi when she was on the way to take part in Ganga Aarti. In Bengal, Roy held both the TMC and BJP responsible for poll results.
Karnataka
Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said the Centre is ready to facilitate talks between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on the Mekedatu project across the Cauvery river. Citing Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as an example, the Minister said both States have agreed on providing water to the fields of the water-parched Bundelkhand area and linkage of the Ken-Betwa rivers. The Mekedatu multi-purpose (drinking and power) project involves building a balancing reservoir near Kanakapura in Ramanagara district. Neighboring Tamil Nadu is opposed to the project, while Karnataka awaits Central clearances. The estimated Rs 9,000 crore project is aimed at ensuring drinking water to Bengaluru (4.75 TMC) and can generate 400 MW power.
Uttar Pradesh
Before the end of campaigning for the last phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with prominent citizens from his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. During the interaction, Modi said Uttar Pradesh wants stability and has the potential to lead India’s economic transformation. He emphasised that continuity is essential in governance because it ensures accountability. Around 200 prominent citizens from Varanasi were present during the interaction. Polling in the eight Assembly constituencies in Varanasi district will be held in seventh and final phase of Assembly polls on March 7.
