Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables take part in Dikshant Parade

The cadets included 111 engineering graduates, 88 post graduates, 210 graduates and 56 are with intermediate qualification.

Hyderabad: After successful completion of nine months basic induction training, 465 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables took part in a Dikshant Parade held at the Hyderabad City Police Headquarters, Petlaburj, here on Wednesday. The candidates were recruited in Medak, Karimnagar and Khammam districts.

The cadets included 111 engineering graduates, 88 post graduates, 210 graduates and 56 are with intermediate qualification.


Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali who was the chief guest for the function. said the Telangana police is one of the most professional police forces in the country and in last few years it has successfully adopted technology for better policing.

“The Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao prioritized law and order in the State as it would also help in the flow of investments in the State. So all efforts are being made to strengthen the Telangana police by providing necessary manpower and technology support,” he said.

Mahmood Ali said the State government sanctioned about 16,925 police constable posts for filling up the vacant posts and already 10,000 cadets are completing their basic induction training. “An integrated command and control centre is being readied at Banjara Hills for effective policing and vehicles are provided and new commissionerates created for better policing,” he said.

The Home Minister said the police are working hard to ensure peace across the State and have been successful in curtailing the Maoist activities in the State. “Women safety is always on top priority for the our police and we are adopting a friendly policing concept,” he pointed out.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Anjani Kumar, said that cadets were trained in indoor and outdoor courses which are part of the induction program curriculum. “They were also given special training in self defense tactics, online applications of Telangana police, forensic science etc,” he said.

The Director General of Police, M.Mahender Reddy also addressed the cadets.
