Student held selling Amphotericin-B injections in Hyderabad
The arrested person was identified as G. Manish (23), a student from Mithila Nagar in Pragathi Nagar in Kukatpally.
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Special Operations Team nabbed a youngster on charges of illegally selling Amphotericin-B injections in Saroornagar here late on Wednesday.
The arrested person was identified as G. Manish (23), a student from Mithila Nagar in Pragathi Nagar in Kukatpally.
According to the police, aware of the high demand for the Amphotericin- B drug, used to treat patients suffering from black fungus disease, Manish plotted to make easy money by blackmarketing it.
For this, he procured the injection from dealers and medical shops for lower rates and sold it at Rs 35,000 each injection vial. Following a tip-off, he was caught by the SOT, who seized five injection vials from him.
The suspect along with the seized material were handed over to the Saroornagar police for further action.
