Students of Delhi Public School learn language through activity
The activity of ‘Adverbial Flower’ targeted the categorization of the type of adverb used in a given sentence.
As part of its language classes, Delhi Public School, Nadergul organised an activity to teach Adverbs to students of class V. Adverbs are divided into six categories depending on their usage.
For class V, the teachers focused on only four categories; keeping the concept simple and within the grasp of the kids, the school said. The activity of ‘Adverbial Flower’ targeted the categorization of the type of adverb used in a given sentence.
The objective of the activity was to enable kids to identify the adverbs and put them in the correct flower representing different types- manner, place, time and frequency. The outcome was that the children segregated different types of adverbs and placed them in a particular flower.
