Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Nadergul organised a session for students of class III where they were told the importance of soil in plant growth.
They were briefed about the types of soils and the functions they play within an ecosystem vary greatly from one location to another as a result of many factors, including differences in climate, the animal and plant life living on them.
The students were able to understand the complex nature of soil, the components of different layers and the creatures living in the soil.
Students examined the texture of the soil by dampening a small handful of soil and rubbing it between fingers, then taking a small amount of soil in a container and mixing it with water, thus observing the different layers formed.
