Sub-inspector killed in road mishap on NH-65 near Sangareddy

Rajeshwar was working as SI in Film Nagar police station.

Sangareddy: In a tragic road accident, a sub-inspector of police died in a road accident when a speeding lorry hit his car on NH-65 at Cheriyal in Kandi mandal in the early hours of Thursday.

He was Rajeshwar (59), a resident of Chanikyapuri Colony in Sangareddy town. Rajeshwar was working as SI in Film Nagar police station. Since he was posted at Balkampet Bonalu utsavalu, Rajeshwar was on his way back home after his duty hours. He died while undergoing treatment an hour later in a nearby private hospital.

Rajeshwar, who was survived by his wife and two children, reportedly joined Film Nagar police station a week ago. Rajeshwar joined the police department as a constable in 1990.

A case was registered. The body was taken to the government hospital in Sangareddy for postmortem.
