Hyderabad: Starring actors Mahesh Datta and Soni Srivasatava in the lead roles, the upcoming Telugu film ‘Maataraani Mounamidi’ commenced shooting recently here in Hyderabad. Suku Purvaj, who won the critics’ appreciation for his film ‘Shukra’, is helming the project.
The title poster of the film was unveiled by the makers recently. Touted to be a cute love story without elements of mystery, ‘Maataraani Mounamidhi’ is produced by Rudra Pictures & PCR group.
“The story has a more artistic approach compared to other commercial films. However, there is one suspense element that hooks audiences in their seats. The shooting is off to a start currently in Visakhapatnam. The reason behind not taking known faces is that romantic films usually get good recognition with young talent,” said director Suku Purvaj.
Asheer Luke, who scored spine chilling background score for ‘Shukra’, is on board of the film. More details about the project will be divulged soon. Other actors in the film include Archana Ananth, Suman Shetty, Sri Hari and Sanjai Roy in key roles.
