Mancherial: Newly appointed Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party’s Mancherial district president and Government Whip Balka Suman was accorded a tumultuous welcome on his maiden arrival to the district headquarters after assuming the charge here on Monday.
Followers and supporters of Suman welcomed him at Indaram village in Jaipur mandal with a gigantic wreath placed around his neck using a crane and grandly received him at Srirampur, at IB Chowk of Mancherial district. They then brought him to the district centre and venue of a meeting at a function hall in Kyathanpalli by taking out a massive bike rally that saw participation of nearly 5,000 motorcycles.
The roads and important junctions turned pink with the cadres putting up life-sized flex posters and hanging flags of the party. Addressing a gathering at Kyathanpalli, Suman exuded confidence that the party would win the mandate in the forthcoming elections by a thumping majority. He thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT minister KT Rama Rao for appointing him as the district president and cadres of the party for showering love and affection.
The Chennur MLA stated that he would strive hard to further the growth of the party by taking help from legislators and leaders. He assured me that he would act as a bridge between the public, party and the government. He declared that he would resolve the major challenges by conducting meetings in every village to mark the birthday celebrations of Chandrasekhar Rao soon.
The government whip further said that Mancherial district had been a bastion of the TRS party for quite a long time. He opined that the strength of the party was none other than its activists. He stated that a focus would be laid on strengthening the youth, student and social media wings of the party. He promised that the members who work hard for the growth of the party would be recognized. Peddapalli MP Dr B Venkatesh Netha, Zilla Parishad Chairperson N Bhagyalaxmi, MLAs Nadipelli Diwakar Rao, Durgam Chinnaiah, Korukanti Chandar, District Libraries Chairman Renikuntla Praveen, leaders of the party were present.
