Hyderabad: The second edition of ‘Ek Shaam Charminar Ke Naam’ at the historic monument attracted huge crowds on Sunday.

The place around the monument presented a lively atmosphere with the families and friends starting to descend at the place since as early as 3 pm to enjoy most of the weekend at the place well acclaimed for its historic monuments and markets.

The first such event was held in mid-October and saw huge participation of the local residents. A sizeable number of tourists also actively participated in the event.

On Sunday, the authorities lined up several events to entertain the crowds and arranged for special food stalls where Mughali, Chinese and Telangana food was offered to the visitors. The police band for the second time entertained the gathering with their melodious tunes while the performance of a Sufi song by noted singers was also held in front of the monument.

The crowds continued to hang around till late in the evening around the monument and the markets which were kept open till late in the night attracted the visitors – both locals and tourists.
