Suriya wraps shooting for Jithu Madhavan’s ‘Suriya 47’; BTS video released
Actor Suriya has wrapped shooting for director Jithu Madhavan's tentatively titled "Suriya 47". The action entertainer features Suriya as an unconventional police officer and also stars Nazriya Nazim and Naslen K. Gafoor
New Delhi: Actor Suriya, known for his roles in “Kaakha Kaakha” and “Ghajini”, has wrapped shooting for Jithu Madhavan’s film. The film is tentatively titled “Suriya 47” and is produced by Jyotika and Suriya under the banner Zhagaram Studios, with Rajsekar Pandian serving as the co-producer.
The makers shared the news with a video post on Instagram on Friday, which featured behind-the-scenes footage of the film. “It is a wrap for #Suriya47. See you in theatres with The One, @actorsuriya @jithumadhavan @nazriyafahadh @naslenofficial @sushintdt @2d_entertainment @netflix_in,” read the caption.
The film will have Suriya essay an eccentric, unorthodox police officer who leads a team of chaotic, unconventional individuals. Their lives take a wildly unexpected turn when they are assigned a serious, high-stakes case. It also features Nazriya Nazim and Naslen and will have music composed by Sushin Shyam.
The actor made his acting debut with “Nerrukku Ner”, but it was in 2001, he had his breakthrough role in “Nandha”, featuring him as an ex-convict. He also received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award in the Best Actor category for his role. His latest work is “Karuppu”. The film is directed by RJ Balaji and also features Trisha Krishnan, among others.
