Medak: The Revenue and Survey Department of Medak district has resumed survey of lands at Hakimpet village in Masaipet mandal where Eatala’s family set up Jamuna Hatcheries. Jamuna Hatcheries is owned by Eatala Jamuna and Eatala Nithin, wife and son respectively of Eatala Rajendar, BJP MLA from Huzurabad.
In the wake of allegations of encroachment of lands by Eatala’s family, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had ordered a survey in June. However, they had stopped the survey as the Jamuna Hatcheries filed a writ petition in the High Court citing Covid-19. The revenue officials said that they will be able to come to a conclusion by November 18 on the issue. Meanwhile, the activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) have staged a protest at Jamuna Hatcheries building accusing them of encroaching on the lands of the poor.
