Suryapet: District Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy on Friday instructed the officials concerned to ensure transparency in grounding the business units under Dalit Bandhu scheme in Suryapet district.
Speaking at an awareness programme on Dalit Bandhu scheme here, Vinay Krishna Reddy said the business units under the scheme should be finalised by the officials based on the options of the beneficiaries. The officials from different departments should work to create awareness among the Dalits on the objective of Dalit Bandhu and also educate the beneficiaries on the possible income generation from various types of businesses.
“Identification of beneficiaries of Dalit Bandhu scheme has been completed in Tirumalagiri Mandal of the district. Under the supervision of the local MLAs, the process of identification of 100 beneficiaries in each four Assembly constituencies would be taken up as early as possible,” he said.
He instructed the officials to ensure impartiality and transparency in the implementation of the scheme. He asked the mandal and district level officers to visit villages to speed up the Covid-19 vaccination drive. The district should be 100 per cent vaccinated by the end of December.
