‘Suryasthamayam’ being received well

Post lockdown, small films too have been getting good response at the box office. And the movie ‘Suryasthamayam’, which was released this Friday, is also making quite a buzz. Expressing happiness over the success, producer Kranthi Kumar Thota thanked the entire crew and cast of the movie who contributed to the film’s success. In the same breath, he urged the movie goers not to believe rumours that have surfaced on Facebook.
“I feel very proud to have produced a Telugu film after a gap of 10 years. The movie is being welcomed by all sections of audiences. Actor Pavan Reddy who played the protagonist is being praised for his work in ‘Suryasthamayam’. I thank the entire cast and crew for giving their best,” said Kranthi Kumar. He further alleged that director Bandi Saroj has started a false campaign against the movie on social media. “He kept the film’s rushes with him and started mouthing bad publicity against the movie which is unacceptable. Saroj further urged audiences not to watch it in theatres. He threatened the movie unit to release the film on YouTube for free,” said Kranthi Kumar.
Starring Praveen Reddy, Himanshi, Kavya Suresh, ‘Suryasthamayam’ was directed by Bandi Saroj. However, the makers started facing trouble from the director soon after its release. “After waiting for so long, we are able to release the movie in theatres. Now, we’re relieved and happy seeing the result at the box office. I thank my producer Kranthi Kumar garu for choosing me to play the face of ‘Suryasthamayam’. I also thank my co-stars and technical crew for their contribution,” said actor Praveen.
“The pandemic was challenging for everybody, we were the most affected people and struggled hard to release the movie in the theaters, the director didn’t even give us the raw copy after the shoot, we have faced many issues while shooting too. We would request the film fraternity to take serious action on director Bandi Saroj who is not allowing the actors to join us on the success meet,” he concluded.
