SVP India holds fund raising event in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The SVP (Social Venture Partners) India’s Hyderabad chapter hosted an event to highlight transformative social impact projects led by local NGOs. The event saw 150 change makers—including prominent philanthropists and community leaders come together to champion grassroots innovation.
Sunitha Krishnan, Co-founder of Prajwala Foundation, delivered a key address emphasising the transformative power of giving and highlighted how even small acts of giving can create exponential ripples of change in society.
Govind Iyer, All India Chair of SVP India, stressed the need for active and engaged philanthropy and added, “our role as donors is not merely financial. It’s about becoming active participants in shaping outcomes.”
Three Hyderabad-based NGOs—Blood Warriors, Good Universe, and Inqui-Lab—presented their projects highlighting their unique approaches to addressing critical social challenges.
Blood Warriors is committed to tackling Thalassemia, focused on its groundbreaking initiative to make carrier testing more accessible while Good Universe is on a mission to implement a sustainable menstrual health program that will benefit 1,500 adolescent girls in rural Mahabubnagar. Inqui-Lab nurtures future innovators and change makers and through their “Think & Make” program, encourage public school students to find local solutions to local problems by developing their skills in problem-solving.
During the event, Rs. 35 lakh were raised for the three NGO’s to take up their activities.
Prominent figures like Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao, filmmaker, Manisha Saboo, Head of Infosys Foundation and 65 partners from the Hyderabad Chapter attended the event.
