Swathi Pala shares on being ‘perfectly imperfect’
Swathi Pala, one of the finalists of Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide, gets candid about her journey from motherhood to the TV industry and beauty pageants

Hyderabad: An MBA graduate in Finance from Andhra University, a mother of two sons, and a finalist of Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2021 — Swathi Pala dons many hats. Even as the responsibilities of being a mother drove her away from the rest of the world, being a naval officer’s wife, she was actively involved in NWWA (Navy Wives Welfare Association) and their social welfare activities.

That’s not it; Swathi has also garnered a lot of praise for her YouTube channel ‘Perfectly Imperfect by Swathi Pala’. In the channel she talks about fashion, travel, and ladies’ favourite topic — shopping.

Though being a part of too many things, Swathi’s creative mind didn’t seem to be satisfied. This quench for more drew her to the television industry, where she worked as a successful creative director. “I was hugely appreciated for my women oriented programmes on Sakshi TV during the channel’s early days. My short-film on girl child education, Vidya, aired on the eve of Women’s Day and was appreciated by everyone. I also received a Certificate of Excellence for my two-minute short-film on ‘Swachh Bharat’ from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting,” shares Swathi.

When quizzed how ‘Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide’ came into her plate, she proudly says, “It is my husband who motivated me. He brought the form for the contest and I just happened to participate. But getting to the finals was really a dream come true.” “Like there is a saying, ‘Behind every successful man there is a woman’, but it is the exact opposite for me. I credit my husband for being the person I am now, including my run for the crown. He always believed in my capabilities,” adds Swathi, who also enjoys reading.

Swati feels marriage is not the end of possibilities, but it rather creates new horizons and it is up to women to look beyond their limits and rediscover their passions.

‘Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide’ is a personality pageant for Indian married women. The auditions were organised via an online platform for women between 21 years and 45 years. Interestingly, the competition does not have any criterion for height or weight.

Hailing from the Telugu land, Swathi is one of the 30 finalists from all over the country who will now go to Greece for the competition. “I am ready for the challenge,” she concludes confidently.
