Table Tennis: Nikhat bags bronze

Nikhat’s impressive run ended in the semifinal clash against Swastika Ghosh of Airport Authority of India, where she lost 5-11, 6-11, 7-11, 8-11. Earlier in the quarterfinals, she defeated Poymantee Baisya of West Bengal 5-11, 13-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9.

Hyderabad: Telangana paddler Nikhat Banu clinched the bronze medal in the women’s singles event of the UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Nikhat’s impressive run ended in the semifinal clash against Swastika Ghosh of Airport Authority of India, where she lost 5-11, 6-11, 7-11, 8-11. Earlier in the quarterfinals, she defeated Poymantee Baisya of West Bengal 5-11, 13-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9.


Results: Semifinals: Nikhat Banu lost to Swastika Ghosh (Airport Authority of India) (5-11, 6-11, 7-11, 8-11).
