Speaking after the launch, Devgn expressed serious concern on increase of pollution and stressed the importance of protecting the environment.

The film is inspired by the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, who was a football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 till his death in 1963.

"It's like a dream come true to be a part of such a big and much-awaited film. I am so excited to share the screen with Ajay sir and Amitabh sir and icing on the cake is Ajay sir is directing the film," said Aakanksha.
