BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao condemned the alleged assault on Alampur MLA Vijayudu by Congress MP Mallu Ravi during a public event, calling it an attack on democracy and demanding an apology and action from the Revanth Reddy government.
In addition to filing a complaint with the II-Town Police, the Dalit MLA also submitted a complaint to Speaker G Prasad Kumar. Following this, the Speaker instructed the District Collector to investigate the motive behind the priest recording images and videos of the MLA and his family and to submit a report.
The incident occurred when Alampur MLA from BRS Vijayudu switched on motors and waited for water supply to commence at delivery cistern, but another Congress leader got the motors switched off
